Grade: AAS

Description: About as struck with much remaining lustre. Obverse reads:- +SC EADN ['S' on it's back] around Alpha. Reverse reads:- SC EAID ['S' on it's back], around Cross Pattee. St Edmund's name each side. Full round, well centred and even strike.

JJ North lists N 483/1 as extremely rare. Only seven listed in SCBI and EMC against 471 of N.483. Probably the finest known.
